As New Pond Village’s Assisted Living and Memory Care neighborhoods have grown, it was clear there was a need for a second Dining Services Director.
Chef Craig Romaine recently came to New Pond Village to fill the newly created role dedicated to Assisted Living and Memory Care.
A graduate of Johnson & Wales University, Craig spent many years in restaurants, hotels and corporate dining.
For the past 20 years, he has worked at senior living communities, first in long-term care dining and then in independent and assisted living, coming to New Pond Village in early 2022.
“I love working in senior living,” Craig says. “I love making residents happy, and food is a big way to do that.”
Craig likes to spend time with his wife and three sons when he’s not at work. And even in his off hours, he does most of the cooking.
A Massachusetts native, he’s a big fan of all sports, but he’s an especially enthusiastic fan of the Boston teams.
