Cassi Braithwaite serves as director of community relations at New Pond Village. Cassi is instrumental in fostering strong relationships with local professionals and community partners. In her role, she contributes to the sales process, offering valuable insights to help seniors and their families navigate care options and find the best fit for their needs.

Passion for Senior Care

The path Director of Community Relations Cassi Braithwaite took to reach New Pond Village wasn’t typical. She was working as a hairstylist when a regular client developed Alzheimer’s disease. Over two years, Cassi watched as the disease progressed. She realized that when she was doing the client’s hair, it was the only break the client’s husband had from caregiving.

She became deeply interested in Alzheimer’s and other dementia, switching careers and becoming a CNA to work with seniors and those with dementia. “I did not just want to provide great personal care; I wanted to build connections, provide companionship and help them gain a sense of purpose that could bring joy to both the seniors and their families,” she says.

Milestones

Cassi is a Certified Dementia Practitioner and Senior Adviser.

Personal Interests

When she’s not at work, Cassi volunteers for non-profits in her home community of Walpole and serves on the board of Greater Boston PFLAG. She enjoys spending time with her child, shopping and reading.
