As the resident care director for our Assisted Living and Memory Care neighborhoods at New Pond Village, Christen Baker-Bagnell works closely with residents, their families and associates to ensure every resident receives individualized, high-quality care. She is committed to building trusting relationships and creating a supportive environment where residents can thrive.

Passion for Senior Care

Creating meaningful connections with residents is what Christen says makes the work most rewarding. “My favorite part of my role is building trusting relationships and making a positive difference in the lives of our residents every day.”

Industry Expertise

Christen began her career in activities and hospitality before advancing into clinical care. Her experience across multiple areas of healthcare has given her a well-rounded perspective and a deep understanding of the needs of older adults, families and the care teams that support them.

Leadership Philosophy

Christen believes the best resident care begins with a supported and engaged team. As she says, “When associates feel supported and valued, they can provide the best possible care to our residents.” She leads with compassion, respect and collaboration, creating an environment where associates feel heard, empowered and equipped to deliver exceptional care.

Personal Interests

Outside of work, Christen enjoys hiking, camping, mountain climbing and snowboarding. She values spending time outdoors, where she can recharge and appreciate the journey as much as the destination.
