Independent living residents are taking a more competitive attitude to their regularly scheduled fitness classes as they compete in teams and individual competitions, reinventing some of the Winter Olympics favorites with an indoor, senior-friendly twist. Residents at New Pond Village kick-off their Winter Olympics with an opening ceremony and mock torch lighting.

Reinventing the New England and Olympic favorite – ice hockey, residents carefully aim their tennis balls to score a goal and pass the stick to their awaiting teammate.
