Festive Flavors and Sweet Memories
A centerpiece of the event were the holiday cookies, featuring cherished family recipes lovingly baked by our residents and associates. Guests sampled treats like Rosalie’s Almond Cookie Bars, Shirley’s Molasses Crisps, and Kara’s Peanut Butter Cup Cookies. Recipe cards were available, allowing visitors to bring a taste of New Pond Village home with them.
Chef Lacey Rainey’s Butterball Cookies, a Rainey family tradition, were a crowd favorite. She shared heartwarming memories of baking with her father, a tradition she continues with her daughter today.
The hot cocoa bar was another highlight, offering chocolate and vanilla cocoa with a variety of toppings. Mini marshmallows, candy cane spoons and chocolate shavings ensured every cup was a personalized masterpiece of holiday cheer.
