Rosalie Bloom Named Recipient of New Pond Village’s Heart of the Community Award
In the spirit of Giving Tuesday, New Pond Village is proud to honor Rosalie Bloom, a dedicated and inspiring resident, with the second-annual Heart of the Community Award. This recognition highlights her tireless commitment to helping others and enriching the lives of those around her.
The Heart of the Community Award: A Benchmark of Philanthropy
Managed by Benchmark Senior Living, New Pond Village created the Heart of the Community Award to showcase the vital role philanthropy plays in creating vibrant, connected communities. Rosalie Bloom, nominated by a fellow resident, exemplifies the profound impact one individual can have, particularly in their retirement years. The community held a celebration with family and fellow residents in attendance where Executive Director Adam Manchester presented Rosalie with the award.
Making a Difference at New Pond Village and Beyond
Before moving to to our community, Rosalie volunteered extensively with Boston Public Schools and the Norwood Food Pantry. Today, she continues her legacy of service by chairing the Welcome Committee, where she serves as a guiding hand for new residents, easing their transitions and fostering connections.
Embodying Benchmark Senior Living’s Core Values
“Mrs. Bloom is instrumental in making New Pond Village a vibrant community,” said Benchmark Senior Living Chairman and CEO Tom Grape. “Her efforts to support new residents and create a sense of belonging mirror our core values — Called to Care, Better Together and Be the Benchmark.”
A True Community Leader
Rosalie’s dedication extends to creating engaging resident-led activities, drawing on her background in senior living. “When you think about the heart of this community, you immediately think of Rosalie Bloom,” said Campus Executive Director Adam Manchester. “She gives so much to New Pond Village and we’re thrilled to honor her with this award.” Congratulations, Rosalie!
