New Pond Village has named Jeff Cormier Plant Operations Director. Jeff, a Mendon native, brings many years of experience in facilities operations to the role.

Welcoming Jeff Cormier to New Pond Village

“I would like to officially welcome our newly appointed Plant Operations Director Jeff Cormier,” said our Campus Executive Director Adam Manchester. “ Jeff brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and a track record of proven success to his new role and we look forward to his continued growth under the management team here at New Pond Village.

Responsibilities as Plant Operations Director

As Plant Operations Director, Cormier is responsible for all maintenance functions within the campus, including overseeing overall operations, coordinating customizations of resident homes, providing general preventive maintenance and ensuring all systems run smoothly.

Career Background: Massachusetts Department of Transportation

Prior to his role at New Pond Village, Cormier served a 36-year tenure with the Massachusetts Department of Transportation. During this time, Cormier served as a member of the Underwater Operations Team (UOT) where he conducted underwater inspections of all state, city and town bridges.

He was later appointed to the role of assistant maintenance engineer, where he oversaw the development, implementation and coordination of transportation policies and projects for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

A Passion for Working with Seniors

“Since beginning my role as Plant Operations Director, I have found a passion for working with seniors. I love listening to their stories and the familial atmosphere that New Pond Village provides,” said Cormier.

Personal Interests

In his spare time, Cormier enjoys attending sporting events and rooting for his favorite New England sports teams.
