New Pond Village Recognized as a Top Senior Living Community by U.S. News & World Report
Walpole, MA. – New Pond Village, a continuing care retirement community (CCRC) in Walpole, Massachusetts, has been named one of the best senior living communities in the country by U.S. News & World Report. New Pond Village was awarded for its independent living. Its assisted living and memory care were also recognized.
In being selected as a top senior living community, New Pond Village demonstrated excellence in safety, activities & enrichment, and staff & hospitality, among other attributes.

In compiling its list, U.S. News & World Report analyzed survey data from nearly 4,000 senior living communities across the nation. For the 2023 Best Senior Living edition, 150 resident and family member surveys were analyzed in order to determine what sets New Pond Village apart. Comments from those surveys are shared anonymously on the publication’s website. New Pond residents and their families shared such feedback as, “Everybody here is looking for care, comfort, safety and companionship. NVP delivers that each and every day. From day one my anxieties were laid to rest,” and “We have a tremendous staff that takes care of us 24 hours a day every day of the year!”
New Pond Village is part of Benchmark Senior Living. Forty Benchmark communities throughout the Northeast received a total of 53 U.S. News awards for the second straight year, far outpacing the industry average for achieving “Best” status.
