Tasha Thomas

Roles and Responsibilities
Tasha Thomas serves as resident care director at New Pond Village. She uses research-based programming to help the residents engage in the six dimensions of wellness: physical, social, intellectual, emotional, purposeful and spiritual.
Passion for Senior Care
Spending time with our residents and the diversity of challenges that arise are some of Tasha’s favorite aspects of her work. “No two days are the same at New Pond Village. I love interacting with the residents and getting to know about their likes, dislikes, past careers, families and things of importance, as they all play heavily into providing individualized care.”
Industry Expertise
Tasha has volunteered or worked with senior populations since she was 12 years old. “It is comforting knowing you are providing care at a time that can be the most vulnerable in a person’s life,” she adds. “The challenge and reward is providing that care with the highest level of dignity.”
After receiving her degree in nursing, Tasha immediately began working in Assisted Living. A few short forays into different fields further strengthened her realization that working with seniors is her passion.
Milestones
Tasha received a bachelor’s degree in nursing from St. Joseph’s College in Maine.
Personal Interests
When she’s not providing care for New Pond Village’s residents, Tasha spends time with her partner and daughter. The family enjoys trying new and different experiences and exploring the outdoors.
